Introduction to Stained Glass

Introduction to Glass Fusing

A 2-hour workshop designed to introduce students to the art of stained glass.  Students will learn to cut glass and assemble a sun catcher, which they can take with them when they're done. Fee: $45 Two 2-hour workshops designed to introduce students to glass fusing.  Learn about glass compatibility and proper kiln operation.  Students will make a jewelry piece and a project of their own creation. Fee: $75
Garden Stepping Stones Mosaic Art
Learn how to construct various sized stepping stones ideal for indoor or outdoor use. Students will use basic skills of cutting and grinding glass to assemble their own project. All molds, cement and reinforcement wire supplied. Fee: $55 Choose from a decorative stone, or wall plaque. Finished piece is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Glass and supplies are provided. Previous experience is not required. Fee: $65

6-WEEK CLASSES

Beginners Stained Glass
(learn all the basic skills)

Intermediate Stained Glass
(going beyond the basics)

This 6-week course provides students with the basic skills to create a stained glass panel (approx. 12 in. by 18 in.), using the Tiffany Copper Foil Method. Step by step instruction in pattern preparation, glass selection and proper cutting, grinding and soldering techniques. Fee: $65 plus *supplies.

*In addition to the class fee, students are required to purchase the glass, solder, flux and related expendables for their project. For your convenience, these items are available for purchase in our studio. Cost varies depending on pattern design, glass selection, bevels, etc. All hand tools and shop equipment are provided.

This 6-week course is designed for those with previous experience. Students work independently on projects of their own choosing.  Instructors are on hand to answer questions and assist whenever needed. Fee: $65 plus supplies. Glass and supply costs vary depending on the student’s choice of project. Supplies are available for purchase in the studio.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Class sizes are intentionally kept small to give students quality one-on-one instruction. 

  • Classes are held weekly and sessions are two hours in length. 

  • All students are entitled to FREE pattern sizing and frame cutting during the six week period.
