Lindstrom Project - (3 panels, 18 inches x 53 inches)

Pattern Making

From the initial drawing a pattern is made of heavier weight paper. The pattern is used to obtain an exact size for tracing individual shapes onto the glass before cutting.

Properly Spaced Cut Pieces

Each piece of glass is cut to size and edges are ground to fit the pattern exactly. Pins are placed between glass piece for proper spacing before taping edges with copper tape and soldered into place.

Taping & Soldering

Once pieces are ground and taped, pins are removed and reinforcement material is placed in strategic places throughout the design to ensure structural reliability.

Framed for delivery

Reinforced metal hooks are soldered into place along the zinc frame. Patina is applied to the solder lines, piece is rinsed & dried and final coat of wax is applied to both sides.
